Linda Levin
"My favorite landscape is one in which water reflects land and sky and creates those curious ambiguities in your mind. Where you're unsure where one ends and the other begins."

Linda Levin's been using hand-dyed fabrics for years, captivated by the exploration of textile dyes and paints and the variety in applications. It never grows stale. Recently she's been working with transfer dyes on sheer and opaque materials. Layering them to create subtle changes in color.

Landscape has always been the source of Levin's inspiration. Her home is in the woods, and she's captivated by the change of seasons, weather's alterations, the patterns of tree branches. You can see this in the colors and lines of her quilts. Each one capturing a moment — the light, color, and pattern when you first glimpse a landscape.
