"Much more than adornment, jewelry serves as a diary that explores and documents meaningful events happening in life: an obsession with a shape, a material or a color that lingers in time.
"
Using silver, 18K gold, and stones, Analya Cespedes creates pieces that are wearable and sometimes playful. They reflect her attraction to an aesthetic rooted in nature and her approach to jewelry as a language that needs no words.
Her pieces are cast and fabricated.
Cespedes started making jewelry under the instruction of Jaime Rosselot and Ricardo Libedinsky in her hometown of Santiago, Chile. After moving to the U.S. in 1999, she continued her education in the jewelry department of Baltimore's Maryland Institute College of Arts.
