Carolyn Tillie
"I want to share my love and passion of food and wine through the creation of wearable art."
Carolyn Tillie's inspiration stems from over ten years in the food and wine industry coupled with a background in the design and creation of unique jewelry. Tillie's jewelry provides a lighthearted and playful way for each wearer to express epicurean desires in unexpected and imaginative ways.
Tillie individually fabricates each piece of jewelry using a whimsical combination of gashapon hand-mounted in a substantial setting of elegant 14K gold or silver. Gashapon are quality Japanese toys created from high-grade PVC plastic. Each toy contains distinct molding detail and carefully painted features. Carolyn Tillie creates eye-catching conversation pieces of playful sophistication, perfect to capture the attention of all who sees them.
Carolyn Tillie has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Cal State Long Beach with an emphasis in Metals. In addition, Tillie has earned a Master Chef Certification from the Epicurean cooking school in Los Angeles and an Intermediate certification through the Wine Education Services Trust. Her jewelry pieces have appeared in gallery shows across the United States.
