Ken Elliott
Ken Elliott developed his artist's eye during his early years assisting an art restorer and working as a picture framer. After moving from Texas to California, he found inspiration in the boundless variety of the landscape and discovered that he possessed a strong urge to become a painter. Over time, he also began working in pastels.
Most recently, Elliot has begun to make giclée prints of his favorite pastels. His technique is distinctive--he takes the first proof of his scanned source material and pastels over the existing image, heightening its vibrancy and detail. Then he creates a second digital image. This reworking process results in compelling and richly textured prints that are works of art in their own right.
