Paul Lombardi

Paul Lombardi's father, a painter and sculptor, was the first to nurture the arts in his son. And bicycle building, with its unique challenges, was Lombardi's initial jaunt into artistic design. But it wasn't until he found the medium of wood that the tenuous balance between aesthetics and construction was mastered in finely crafted furniture.

Lombardi builds his furniture from exotic and domestic hardwoods using a combination of modern shop techniques and time honored handbuilding methods. The relevance of each joint, the sleek forms and the stylish designs that emerge just hint at Lombardi's cycling roots.
