Tanya Ragir explores in her sculptures the female figure as a sensual landform. By isolating certain elements and changing the scale, she dissolves the context of the human body, recalling sand dunes, mountain ranges and rolling hills.

Ragir sculpts in clay and either fires or casts her figures in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel or fiberglass. The finished form reflects her interests in the essence of a person, her perception of beauty as a mark of authenticity.
