"My goal is not to create anything specific in the beginning, but rather to unleash the intense desire to create with beautiful colors and varied shapes to encourage and evoke meaningful elements of thought."

Painter Amy Longcope uses mediums and gels to build layers and textures of color. For Longcope, process is integral to result with each painting a mystical journey guided by an artistic alchemy of curiosity, intuition, discipline, and spontaneity. While she paints, countless ideas guide her and the artist trusts intuition to lead the way. The end result is a vibrant abstract image, dripping with color and emotion.

Longcope began her development as an artist in the Hill Country of Texas, where she spent her childhood.She currently lives in Los Angeles, CA.

Her award-winning paintings have been purchased by collectors throughout the United States and Latin America.
