Though Renato Foti began his career as a painter, after an introduction to glass as a sculptural material in 1992, casting became his primary means of expression. Today, his skillful glassware combines his love of the material with superb functionality and craftsmanship.

Each piece is handcut, fused, ground, slumped and signed. By using top-of-the-line artist glass, compatible colors and precise firing conditions, Foti ensures that all of his work is of the highest quality.

Sweet indeed
This is a lovely piece. I admire Mr. Foti's sense of color, especially. His combination is one I never would have come up with on my own, and works very well, continuing to fascinate. I didn't expect one color, a vibrant translucent raspberry, to appear, but quickly grew to love it. The asymmetrical lobes around the brim assert the piece's handmade nature, although I'd have hoped for more definition between a certain two of them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend, or to shop with ArtfulHome again.
