23k gold and 12k white gold leaf is rolled up and fused on the bubble while each piece is being blown. The spontaneous folding and overlapping of the gold leaves makes each one uniquely beautiful. The gold is dishwasher safe and quite durable. These all purpose Stems comfortably hold a 5 oz pour of wine and perfectly fit a 12 oz beer with room for a good head. Sold individually.

"My goal as a glassmaker is to create pieces that share my notions and aesthetics of glass-- its curiosities, its beauty."

Dan Mirer's work is rooted in the design process. Striving to create objects that are contemporary and unique, ideas develop in a dialogue between his inner craftsman and designer.

To realize his work, Mirer uses a blend of traditional, innovative, and esoteric glassmaking techniques. Invention is often a necessity as many pieces require custom tools and processes. While Mirer sees beauty in an efficient production, he takes pride in personally making each piece himself from start to finish

The artist attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, Alfred University, and the Pukeberg School of Design, Sweden.

not great
The mold seam line is a big distraction to an otherwise wonderful goblet. I would prefer to pay twice as much for one blown without the mold.
