The inspiration for this piece comes from living in NYC. Meg and Vicky wanted the art to represent where one lives works and plays. The clear pieces are the windows in the building where you can peek in or look out to see what is happening in ones life. Created by cutting vibrant green glass accented with blues and yellow art glass. Outlined with powdered frit then fused multiple times to achieve the desired effect. The metal stand is two tiered welded steel painted mat black. This piece is a limited production and each will always be a bit different.

Meg Branzetti and Vicky Kokolski

"Our intense need to create--to channel energy--led us to work in the fused glass medium."

Long-time friends Meg Branzetti and Vicky Kokolski grew up amid the excitement and cultural diversity of New York City, nurturing their imaginations with visits to museums and the theater. For years, each worked independently-- Branzetti as a stained glass artisan, Kokolski as a potter. Today, their friendship fuels MeKo Designs and culminates in striking fused glass panels.

To produce the compelling, dramatic effects of their panels, the artists select, cut and arrange pieces of brilliantly colored glass and then kiln fire the resulting creation.

Individually designed metal frames balance and enhance the glasswork.
