Tara Marsh

"Glassblowing to me is equal parts creativity, science, hard work and magic. "

Glass artist Tara Marsh believes nature to be the ultimate source of inspiration. So it is to nature she turns, not to copy, but to take this inspiration and combine it with the glass techniques available and her own creativity to produce her art.

Tara's glass pieces are made by using traditional glassblowing techniques. The fish pieces are now made in collaboration with glass artist David Thai. Together they combine their unique glassforming techniques. Tara provides her expertise in making glass fish and David provides his Japanese silver foil application processes.

The daughter of an art teacher and visual artist, Tara discovered that glass was her medium of expression while attending the three year certificate program at Sheridan College (Canada's largest and best known glass school). Tara graduated in 2004 and has since attended numerous workshops. Shortly after graduation she was honored to be invited to join an established co-operative studio called Glen Williams Glass.

Happy Art!
I have two shelves that get lots of natural light; and I have dedicated the shelves to only beautiful pieces of art glass. This piece is curvy and elegant. The transition of colors is just beautiful....I also have this piece in the purple tones and love it!

Fresh, fun and elegant
I purchased three different sizes and am displaying them on my fireplace mantle. They look great. They are very elegant and whimsical. I am really enjoying them and highly recommend them.
