"I am committed to lifelong learning. Currently, I am looking at ceramic shapes, particularly Chinese ceramics, and beginning to learn Chinese and refine my calligraphy."

Explorations of form and color have always marked Richard Jones' glass artistry. The fact that the work is handblown, using traditional glassmaking techniques, is an integral part of each design, allowing for a wide variety of designs and imbuing each piece with subtle but significant features.

Jones' abiding interest in new directions has lately steered him toward Chinese ceramics. Chinese characters and motifs adorn his work. In all his pieces he seeks balance, harmony and a sense of peace. Objects that bear witness to the silence inherent in all things.

Elegant visual art for any space
This wonderful work of art holds its own in any setting and is a perfect start to any serious glass art collection. I consider this piece to be a fine work of art and I would not personally use the vase for flowers. It could be used, but I simply want to gaze at it in all of its perfection.
