"My work is about the relationship between form, texture, and color, and the interplay with light. Each piece is achieved by utilizing various Venetian techniques and by carving the glass to add dimension."

Chris McCarthy's work is a complex mix of both the hot and cold side of the glass medium. Fascinated with the ability to play with fire to create form, he sculpts each piece, thinking about the effect of light and diffraction. His use of the Venetian techniques of Murrini, Incalmo and Battuto gives his work depth and complexity. McCarthy creates simple elegant forms that radiate and glow with warmth.

Excellent Product and Excellent Service
I purchased this for my wife and she loves this bottle. The design is intriguing: big body and very thin neck. Though delicate, this is solid. My wife put it on a shelf where some light can come in from behind and it is not flashy or deeply colored but very attractive, and we can see through it to the stripes on the back. The packing it came in was tremendous. They could have safely sent nitroglycerine packed this way! The people at the store were very apologetic and helpful, as there was a very very slight delay in shipping from the artist. I think the woman I spoke with was really concerned and pleasant to speak with. I like the catalog and my wife loved the product. Quality product. Thanks,

Everyone loves it
I'm using thye vase to add color and variety in shape on a hand carved wooden shelf. Its great because it has a thin neck, large bulbish body, multiple colors that lighten as they drop down from the neck of the vase and wonderful curved lines.
