This is an image made using an old 4 x 5 monorail film camera and lens. The negative was hand processed in the artist's darkroom and scanned in with an epson flat bed scanner. The detail is outstanding and the film gives the image an almost 3 dimensional look. The pigment print is printed on an archival rag paper using an high quality 12 ink printer. This is limited edition of 100 prints, signed and numbered. There is a 0.25" border around each edge. Dimensions refer to image size.

Mike Cable creates art to express his inner self. Photography is his therapy and a way of escaping into another world. He loves to hunt for hidden works of art, things never given a second look by the average person. What fascinates him about his work is how many ways it can be interpreted. While he may see one thing, someone else may see something completely different.

What sets Cable apart from others in his field are his life experiences. He grew up in a small town and spent most of his time in the woods playing and using his imagination. These early years, while he didn't know it at the time, formed who he is as an artist.

He is a completely self-taught artist and didn't pick up a camera until just a few years ago. He always excelled in art while in grade and high school. In high school he had a great art teacher who allowed him the freedom to do what he liked, which at the time was geometric art. His training really stems from life experiences.
