A series of cold cast bronze figurative cubes polished and waxed on the top on a cast stone tray.These free-floating "bricks" are felted on the bottom, and sold in a set of nine, along with the matte-finished tray. This sculpture is intended for table-top use, and is not suitable for wall hanging.

"As a sculptor, the intimacy and complexity of one form folding into another is as intriguing to me as the whole human figure."

Tanya Ragir explores in her sculptures the female figure as a sensual landform. By isolating certain elements and changing the scale, she dissolves the context of the human body, recalling sand dunes, mountain ranges and rolling hills.

Ragir sculpts in clay and either fires or casts her figures in bronze, aluminum, stainless steel or fiberglass. The finished form reflects her interests in the essence of a person, her perception of beauty as a mark of authenticity.
