Asian-inspired jar of wheel-thrown, raku-fired
mica clay with patinated copper lid. In the raku process, the piece, once fired, is brought up to high temperatures inside a kiln, removed hot and submerged in sawdust, wood, or paper. The burning organic materials produce variable colors on the surface of the clay. Colors will vary from medium brown to black. Nonfunctional.
Please Note: Although each piece is unique and slight variations will occur, when purchased as a set, these will be created together as a set, to ensure consistency.
