Louise Bilodeau

Lulu Ceramics offers strong, durable, hand-crafted serving pieces for everyday use by big people, little people, pets, and plants. Louise Bilodeau strives to make pots that contribute to people's enjoyment of home. For everyday use or an event, she feels that handmade serving pieces make a meal special.

The artist creates all serving pieces from start to finish, from throwing and stamping to glazing and firing. Withstanding the rigors of everyday use is an important reason for Bilodeau to work in cone 6 clay. Her pieces are dishwasher and oven safe, and product tested by her two children.

Bilodeau studied at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the Maine College of Art, and received her B.F.A. at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She then worked as an apprentice at Sawyer Street Studios and eventually became an owner in the ceramic artist collective located in South Portland, Maine.

Beautiful way to serve doggie treats!
Love the cut-out of the dog bone on the lid of the doggie treat jar! It is very attractive in our home and provides a beautiful way to leave treats handy any time the dogs are good!

Picture better than the real thing
I am a bit disappointed in the treat jar. My mother is a ceramist and I don't expect perfection, but I still think the pot shape could have been more symmetric even though its hand thrown. And the bone decoration is just bizaare. It's too much trouble to return, so I will save it for a gift. However, I will hesitate from ordering again this website.

Good Dog Treat Jar is better than good
This handmade jar (by Louise Trout) is a wonderful combination of utility and art. There's room for a bunch of treats inside, yet the jar doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It's absolutely perfect and looks right at home almost regardless of where you put it.

Dogs and I agree
This treat jar is both useful and attractive. You may be surprised at how heavy it is. The lid fits snugly, and your dog(s) will come running when they hear it lifted. Nice finish/color.
