Laura Marth

"I select material that best fits my concept. I love to create for the joy of losing myself in a process of invention."

With a love for life, family, and humor, Laura is a craftsman and a story teller. As a narrative artist, Laura has worked in a variety of mediums for over twenty years. The clarity of a story underlies most of her work.

Each Fleeceleaves item is hand-cut and machine-quilted using soft, beautifully colored pieces of fleece. Featuring the easiest of care instruction, simply machine wash and dry.

As a child, Laura played with her three siblings in an enclosed garden outside of Paris, learning how to invent a fantasy world from the world around her. She formally studied metals at Massachusetts College of Art, where she received her BFA, and received her MFA from Kent State University, where she studied with sculptor and metal smith Bruce Metcalf. It was at Kent State, in the quiet, timeless life of a graduate studio, where Laura returned to her own enclosed garden and developed a personal vocabulary that continues today in any medium.

Nice handmade blanket
Its a nice blanket. I had to order it in cranberry color since the green color was out of stock at the time I ordered. My friend loved it and thanked me for the warm and precious blanket.

Baby's mom loved it!
This was a gift for a dear friend's daughter and the baby's mother had already opened about a million pink presents...she really loved it (gave her the cranberry) and it was a great contrast to all the lace, ruffles and pink.

This is the perfect gift
My sister and I purchased 3 of the Fleeceleaf blankets for our nieces baby shower. The idea fit right along with our idea of buying a small tree for the family to plant, when the babies are born. We could of used a shade of purple, but cranberry, blueberry, and pumpkin worked. Thanks to the Artist for a wonderful idea.

I sent this to the recently born grandson of dear friends. I was looking for something simple, but special to send as a "first" xmas present.I saw this in the catalogue, thought it was just what I had in mind and selected the blueberry color... what we immediately heard back from our friends - was - that it WAS the perfect gift!

Adorable product, great price!
I saw this product in your magazine and had to purchase it for a friend's new baby. It was just what I expected from the picture. Great quality and adorable. I will purchase it for any future babies that come into our life.

Perfect Baby Shower Gift
Unusual and appreciated gift for new mother. Received so many compliments from the attendees of the Baby Shower. Can't wait to see it in use. The only down side is that my 27 year old son is too big to fit into this cuddly fleece blanket.

beautiful unique baby gift

I would buy this again!
Loved the fleece blanket. Well made. Beautifully designed. Washed great! It is unique and artfully made. Looks like one of a kind. Priced very reasonable. I would definitely order it again for a gift.

I have tears in my eyes!
I am expecting my first grandchild in June. This has been a long and sometimes disappointing journey..many failed invitros., But, by the grace of God we are well on the way. A lovely gift to give or receive!
I purchased this as a gift for my stepdaughter and our soon-to-be-born grandson. She absolutely loves it! And I love that it is so practical, and yet different from the usual baby blanket. The blanket and hat are wonderfully soft. I have no doubt that this will be a well used gift!

So Soft! My Daughter Loves It!
We received a Fleeceleaves Blanket as a gift when my daughter was born, and we use it nonstop. It is the perfect size as a cover-up blanket for the car seat and stroller, and she loves laying on it too. The quality is excellent - it has been washed countless times now, and has never pilled or frayed.
