Peg Fetter

"The juxtaposition of raw steel with the decadence of 14K gold and diamonds is very exciting to me."

Peg Fetter creates work that balances between toughness and delicacy, that combines the intrinsic preciousness of jewelry with the edginess of blacksmithing.

Fetter received her MFA from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied with Heikki Seppa. Additional classes at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts inspired Fetter to combine steel with metalsmithing to create the organic and industrial quality for which her work is known.

Fetter has taught workshops around the country, as well as teaching at Craft Alliance, Fontbonne University, and St. Louis University.

Steel Band..Who Knew
It is really a very clever idea and use of steel and gold. very plain yet attention grabbing. It has rusted quite quickly. I like that but I do not like the rust ring around my finger.
