One of a Kind
14K yellow gold pendant w/.64ct 6mm trillion concave cut rubellite tourmaline and 3 sections of hand woven 14K white gold wire. Embellishing the ends of the spires are three 3mm round faceted blue sapphires, .13ct., .15ct., .12ct and 12 gold balls Bale accommodates light to medium weight chain or up to 4mm omega collar. Neckwire sold separately.

About this Artist

Marie Scarpa

"I am happiest when I am working with my hands."

Marie Scarpa began making jewelry in high school. After earning a BFA in metalsmithing from Syracuse University, she honed her skills working with several San Francisco Bay Area designer jewelers.

Using cast silver and gold needlepoint canvas and fine-gauge wire, Scarpa weaves tiny tapestries embellished with brightly colored gems, beads, and pearls. The unconventional combination of fiber and jewelry techniques lends her work its distinctive look.
