Inspired by vibrant colors and traditional Portuguese architecture, Ana Cavalheiro designs bring together her appreciation of the timeless classic with the modern lines. Growing up surrounded by historical buildings and references, Ana is often inspired by romantic and medieval motifs that she combines with bright and colorful gemstones to create one of a kind design.

Ana Cavalheiro Jewelry is handcrafted in gold and silver and each gemstone is carefully chosen for a particular design. Each piece in the collection is meticulously hand-wrought in the designer?s studio using traditional European goldsmith techniques, casting and is limited edition. Special attention is given to the detail of the prongs and texture of the pieces, which are usually inspired by a detail from a monument or a building.

Ana was born in Lisbon, Portugal where she grew up. After graduating in Economics, she embarked in a career in finance that took her to Switzerland and France. While in Paris she did her jewelry apprenticeship at the 'Ecole du Louvre: Bijouterie, Joaillerie, Orfevrerie Formation' where she learnt to handcraft jewelry in the traditional European way with the master jewelers from Cartier and Van Cleef and Arpels. Ana currently lives and works in Santa Monica, California.
