In 1986, Carole Turner opened a tiny little store in San Angelo, Texas, where she created custom design and sewing. Two years later she moved out of custom work and created a line of clothing for specialty stores nationwide. From the beginning, Carole Turner focused on clothing that is both comfortable and sophisticated --"just like the women that we live and work with."

Inspired by the diversity of the lives of the women around her, Turner credits them for the focus of her clothing design. These women are " always working, always giving support...to family, to friends, to good causes, to employees and employers, to students, to customers and clients. And somewhere in all of this they find time to take care of themselves!"

These are the women that Carole Turner would would like her clothing to appeal to, all across the country, and the reason she creates clothing that is always easy to care for and easy to wear, clothing that is comfortable and sophisticated.

Fab Dress; Love the Fabric, Fit, +Style
I just bought both the putty and black dresses in size small. The fit is gorgeous as are the fabric and quality. I don't usually spend this much on dresses however, I am starting to spend more money on a few pieces each season and just buy fewer pieces. This is due to the fact that I am mid-40s, annoyed by most of the offerings for women, and also that I have long prized quality over quantity. I would not hesitate to buy this dress, even if you are on a budget. I know I will wear this for years to come. The Italian fabric is dreamy!!! Thank you for such a wonderful design.
