A year-round style in an eye-catching salt-and-pepper color, this knit vest has a built-in drape created by the artful twist front.

Amy Brill

"I love to create the perfect shape for your perfect shape (which may vary from day to day)."

Amy Brill realized when she was very young that she gave her all to whatever she did, so she had better do the things she loves. Her fascination with textiles, fabrics, and making things took form first with the creation of soft sculpture dolls, which then led to wool spinning and dyeing, which led to her current love of knitting and design. Amy Brill is known for styles that emphasize ease and wearability, and the invention and reinvention of sweaters with interesting lines and vibrant colors.

Each piece of Brill's work is created in the United States from beginning to end. The artist designs all of her own yarns -- the polyester/acrylic combination yarns are made for her in North Carolina and the cotton/rayon tweeds are hand twisted in her studio using American cotton. Every sweater is knit one at a time by one of six knitters, all of whom reside in Upstate New York.

Brill often jokes that the one thing she did wrong was to make wearables that are just too well-made and simply do not fall apart. Each sweater looks like a piece of art, but the real creation is in the durable and flexible nature of each piece. "The fact that my sweaters fit well, wear well, do not fall apart, look stylish and style-full forever, is miracle enough for me."

so glad i ordered
love, love, love it! it really is a beautiful top/vest/sweater. ordered the fleur de sil color (pictured in catalog) and it is such a rich wonderful shade that will go with so much! it really exceeded my expectations and that is such a wonderful thing! thank you amy brill for a beautiful, timeless addition that i'm sure i will enjoy for years to come.

versatile vest
I LOVE this top! - I bought all three colors available. I wouldn't wear it alone, though, hence why I called it a vest. It can easily transition from season to season, upon the need: extra layer in the cooler months, or as a beach cover-up for your bathing suit! And, though the cut is boxy, it really is quite chic.

I wanted the piece because of the open neck created by the way the mobius fold holds against the body. The piece creates a beautiful frame for the necklaces I design.

Great accessory!!
The color goes with most clothing. The style is unusual but timeless. This is a wonderful addition to a wardrobe. You won't go wrong choosing this vest to wear with skirts, dresses or pants.

Fabulous, will be an all time favorite.
Ordering is easy through ArtfulHomes. If return is necessary, it is a little more involved. However, everyone is helpful and responsive to your needs. Wes was delightful to work with. Fabulous, fun sweater to wear. Looks great with a turtle neck and pants. Excellent quality. It will be one of my forever favorites.
