The poetry of color is a key part of what makes Cynthia Ashby garments unique. The clothing is garment dyed, which creates a quality of uncommon depth and texture. As the colors fade they achieve character with wear, like a patina on a bronze sculpture. Seasonal color palettes may be combined in past and future collections, creating infinite wardrobe possibilities.

The garments are made from linen, cotton, silk and wool in assorted textures and weights. The raw look of the fabric is animated with fine detailing in design and construction.

Garments should be hand washed or machine washed on a short/gentle cycle in cold water. Use a mild detergent (preferably dye free). Either dry flat or machine dry on low heat. Heat will fade the color faster.

I like it with some reservations
I bought this primarily for traveling. I thought the color (terrain) would be limiting but am finding that many different colors and styles of tops work well with it. It is multi seasonal, except for cold weather. The biggest problem for travel is that there are no pockets, which is annoying. (The pocket at the bottom of the leg is purely decorative but completely useless: can you imagine putting your airline ticket in it? ) ALso, at 5'4". i would have shortened it beyond the 2 or so inches possible before running into the pocket and also sacrifices the hemline trim.I am keeping it anyway because it is cute; I have received compliments, and I and will try not to mind the wrinkles.

perfect pants!
I finally broke down and bought a pair of these, as I needed something loose, comfortable, and good-looking for an upcoming trip to India. Now I wonder why I waited so long! Theses pants are everything they need to be. So many loose pants are nothing but that, and make the wearer look and feel dumpy. These deliver style and comfort and really, who could ask for more?

FABULOUS PANTS
The linen is beautiful, of course it wrinkles and that is what gives it character. These pants are so comfortable and you never want to take them off. Other than wrinkling, I would wear them every day, with different peole of course.

Comfy, attractive and easy to care for
I wear these all the time. I wash them in cold water, on gentle cycle (front loading machine) and line dry them. They still look and wear great. Awesome pants from an awesome designer! And made in USA, which I LOVE.

Love these pants!
Can't wait to wear these all spring and summer. Have similar Cynthia Ashby pants from a few years ago and always get compliments when I wear them....glad to see them back...bought both colors..very versatile and so comfortable...dress up or down....more colors would be nice!I usually wear a size 6 pant and XS is perfect.

"Fit Great, Look Great, Feel Great"
I just received the pants, and will likely order another pair in a different color. They fit me perfectly, and I immediately knew that I'll be wearing these frequently once the weather is a bit warmer. I like that they're loose and casual, yet have interesting design elements that make them extraordinary. You will NOT find these in your average department store. As far as fit goes, it's quite "forgiving." I chose my size from the size chart on the website, and it was spot-on. The elastic waist if "just so" on my wait - I don't have to safety pin it to make it tighter until I can alter it myself - but the rest of the garment falls into place effortlessly. I am trying to break the habit of wearing all of my clothes too large. I usually choose "extra large," when I probably ought to have at least one size smaller, if not two. This time, I didn't do it. I ordered the "large," and they fit exactly as I had hoped -- super. I don't have to be too dressy for work, so I'll wear these to work with something nice on top and wedge sandals. I'll wear them out for leisure when I want to look nice but be very comfortable at the same time. If I was to travel to a warm climate, I'd definitely take the pants - or likely even wear them on the plane. I don't have any complaints about these wonderful pants. They are a useful "workhorse" addition to my wardrobe.

I love these pants!!!
These are the cutest capris I've ever seen. I also have the longer version in pants that Cynthia Ashby made a couple of years ago and love those just as much. I'm 5'8" and the capris hit just slightly below mid-calf. The weight of the linen is great and the fabric is good quality. It's more of a medium weight, which I love because it falls nicely without accenting the cellulite some of us get as we grow older. The waist is about 1" elastic, which lies flat and doesn't need to be hidden with long shirts. Most of all they are really comfortable. The only problem I've had is catching the bottom leg pockets on our kitchen drawer pulls (we have bars, not knobs), and this can tear the fabric.
