About this Artist

Sue Peterson

"I find it especially gratifying to create a design and have my customer tell me that she is still wearing the sweater 10-15 years later."

As a child, Sue Peterson created a multitude of outfits for Barbie and her other dolls and attended Iowa State University to major in Textiles and Clothing with an emphasis on design. When she was introduced to sweater design at one of her first jobs out of college, Peterson was fascinated that string could become an actual piece of clothing, for Barbie or otherwise.

Sue Peterson's sweaters are all knit on a loom and sewn together by hand. All the trims are hand crocheted and great effort is given to hand selecting each button, trim color and even thread color for each particular sweater.

Peterson found that working for other knitwear designers before venturing out on her own 20 years ago provided invaluable experience.

One of a kind
This is a beautiful item, but must be worn with a camisole underneath, since it is quite see through. It fits snugly across the bust, and flares out in a handkerchief hem. For that reason, I would suggest buying a size larger than usually worn. I would also think that dry cleaning might be a better option than washing, in order to retain its softness.

I would wear this every day-
It is positively beautiful. However, I did snag it within minutes of putting it on so there is a large "scar" now. It's very fragile.

A fashionable look
This product is great over a black blouse or T. Sets the outfit off in stylish fashion. Another look over your basic wardrobe.

Feels Yummy - looks terrrfic
This is actually even better in person than pictures. The texture is divine - very soft and sensual and the fit makes one look svelte. Very pleased

Beautifully made
It would be helpful in judging size before ordering to include measurements for each size. The x-large was actually too small for me; but a friend who is wearable art friendly bought it instead, so I didn't need to return it.
