The poetry of color is a key part of what makes Cynthia Ashby garments unique. The clothing is garment dyed, which creates a quality of uncommon depth and texture. As the colors fade they achieve character with wear, like a patina on a bronze sculpture. Seasonal color palettes may be combined in past and future collections, creating infinite wardrobe possibilities.

The garments are made from linen, cotton, silk and wool in assorted textures and weights. The raw look of the fabric is animated with fine detailing in design and construction.

Garments should be hand washed or machine washed on a short/gentle cycle in cold water. Use a mild detergent (preferably dye free). Either dry flat or machine dry on low heat. Heat will fade the color faster.

Ask for actual measurements
I wear anything between a size 14 and 16. I bought this in a large and it was huge. I sent it back and got the medium and it was also too big. I kept it because I didn't want to have to pay for even MORE shipping. I'm not a rich gal and this was a birthday splurge for myself. I should have sent it back for the small because it just sits in my closet after my boyfriend said it looked like a tent on me. Also after washing, the collar does not hang correctly so it needs ironing. I got the blue color and it goes well with jeans. I love Ashby and how whimsical her clothing is. I own several of her pieces. Next time I'll see if I can get a actual measurement on the garmet before I place a order.

Remarkable!
The linen flip-collar vest by Cynthia Ashby that I recently purchased is remarkable. The garment is beautifully constructed with great attention to detail. The design is innovative and the color is delicious. The staff at Artful Home answered questions I had about the size before I placed my order. I could not be more pleased with my decision. Although the garment is more expensive than my usual purchases, I expect that I will be ordering more garments by Ashby.

Love this dress/tunic!
I love this piece; I crave most all of Cynthia Ashby's clothing line. I find myself putting it with a number of different tops and leggings; it also looks great sleeveless. It's at the top of my closet favorites.

Great vest
I love this vest because it is so comfortable and yet chic. I wear it with leggings and flats and can go to very nice restaurants. It is well made and the fresia color is beautiful.
