This wall clock consists of a large rectangle of hand-colored copper with a smaller rectangular face. The pendulum, also of hand-colored copper, shows through a circular cutout. Signed on back. 24" clock Takes 1 AA battery (included), while 30" clock takes two AA batteries (included).

Dimensions:
Small: 24"H x 10"W
Large: 30"H x 12"W. All metal coloring is done by hand and will vary from piece to piece.

"Time flies when you are having fun!"

Leonie Lacouette started designing clocks more than two decades ago. It all began when she needed a clock for her studio. On a lark, she created a clock for herself and four more for a show. They sold immediately and she has been making clocks ever since.

Using a basic language of geometric shapes, Lacouette creates layered constructions that are both functional time pieces and entertaining kinetic sculptures. Some materials, such as stainless steel and brass, are used in their raw state. Others, like copper and wood, Lacouette patinas and paints for a warmer feel.

Radiant
The artfully crafted copper clock warmly radiates gathered light, drawing one's eye, demanding the admiration of the beholder. The artist's deft hands have faithfully rendered the piece one sees in the photo. Bear in mind that the side view reveals, although fairly unobtrusively, the plastic case of the clockworks. Also, the clock gains about five minutes daily.

Shifting Colors.
This clock is really the first thing that grabs one's attention entering the room. I will say that when I received it, I thought it didn't really have the coloring that it had in the photo on the website, because it is somewhat dependent on how the light in the room is going to hit it. Because it is a treated piece of copper sheet, it looked a bit dull and flat until I hung it. Sure enough, as soon as it was hung, the coloring really came to light at eye level, and it looks as brilliant as it does in the photo. That is with low/moderate natural daylight. In the night under room light it is more like regular copper sheet color, which means the colors really shift from day to night, which is quite interesting. Pendulum works nicely and quietly.

Gorgeous
I have wanted a Leonie clock for a long time and got this one for Christmas. It is beautiful; the copper shadings are subtle and show up differently in different kinds of light. It's lighter than I thought, just a sheet of copper, and I wasn't expecting that but I love it. The horizontal line on the pendulum seen through the circular cutout adds interest. It is also almost completely silent which we like. I am so happy with this piece of art.
