This clock has a background of black-on-black faux finished wood. Hands are semi-gloss black, and the raised square face and circular pendulum are hand-colored copper. Signed on back. Uses 1 AA battery (included). All metal coloring is done by hand and will vary from piece to piece.

"Time flies when you are having fun!"

Leonie Lacouette started designing clocks more than two decades ago. It all began when she needed a clock for her studio. On a lark, she created a clock for herself and four more for a show. They sold immediately and she has been making clocks ever since.

Using a basic language of geometric shapes, Lacouette creates layered constructions that are both functional time pieces and entertaining kinetic sculptures. Some materials, such as stainless steel and brass, are used in their raw state. Others, like copper and wood, Lacouette patinas and paints for a warmer feel.

More art piece than time piece
Looks great in my TV den. I like the fact that it's silent -- no annoying ticking. Copper clock face is beautiful and the black hands show up well agains the metal face.

Beautiful, Modern, Classy
We just hung our clock a few days ago and LOVE it! It's as good as it looks in the photo, if not better! The colors on the copper are warm and the pendulum swings neatly and silently. This true work of art is a nice addition to our home. It's packaged nicely, hand signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the artist. Worth the price, we just love our new clock!
