One of a Kind

This metal sculpture can be placed indoors or outdoors. After plasma cutting the shapes, Williams then rolled the steel through 3 large rollers. Then the forms were welded together. The steel is then powder coated. This was inspired by memories of sailing when the artist was younger.

Cheryl Williams was introduced to clay in 1975. Finally able to combine her enjoyment of working with her hands with her interest in images, geometrical shapes and colors, she has been working with the medium ever since.

Mistakes, dreams and teachers inspire Williams. Throwing her ceramic bowls by hand, she airbrushes them to give an appearance of softness in contrast to the severity of the edges. Gold, silver or copper interiors express the inner light that Williams believes dwells in all of us.
