This lamp projects its own distinct personality, emerging from a stem of colorful blown glass, uniquely shaped to reflect light from the lamp shade above. Embroidered silk shade in floral designs created by hand. Finished with fixtures of solid brass. Uses two 60-watt max. bulbs (two 40-watt bulbs included). Engraved signature on bottom. Height listed does not include finial. Base is 6.5" diameter.

Susan Kinzig and Caryn Kinzig

''Traditional lighting with a twist-as we design each lamp our goal is to create beautiful and distinctive lighting that will endure the test of time."

After seven years as a graphic designer, Susan Kinzig began a career as a jewelry designer. Fifteen years later, her knowledge of jewelry design and metalworking had grown extensively, and she decided to expand her creative outlook to include lighting design. Caryn Kinzig, Susan's sister-in-law, had spent 20 years in an investment career when she decided to leave the corporate world and follow her creative passion. Susan and Caryn teamed up to form Kinzig Design Home.

Susan and Caryn work together to create each of their lamps. They incorporate proprietary elements with vibrant glass ( blown by two glass studios) and solid brass and copper accents. The lampshades are deeply colored and sewn from embroidered silks and rich fabrics. The lamps are individually finished with patinated metals and surface textures that will not fade or discolor, and are topped with distinctive finials.

Beautiful!
I bought 2 of these amazing lamps for the side tables by my bed. They look gorgeous and turn the room into a very special place. But because the shades are shorter than usual the bulb apparatus becomes visible while lying in bed and the light is quite harsh for reading. I love the look of these lamps but I'm trying to figure out a way to diffuse the light while I am in bed.

Perfect
With a longer cord provided by the designers, the lamp fills the middle space in an open concept living/dining/kitchen. It is a perfect match for the furniture and provides a wonderful focal point in the layout of the area.

a lamp like no other! Unique,beautiful,
I have had this lamp for two years in my living room and everytime I look at it I can't believe how beautiful it is. It blends well with my art glass pieces and adds another element of distinction and beauty. I am considering purchasing "James" next.

Glass color is not true to the pictures.
First, I have to say the lamps (I bought two) are beautiful. However, the glass color was not true to the pictures in the catalogue and on the web. It appeared to be opaque cream, but, in fact, the glass is transulent gold. I was a bit disappointed on this front. In addition, two of the lightbulbs (which were included) did not work. I was surprised that they were supplied so I suppose I should not look a gift horse in the mouth! The shades are very lovely.

As Beautiful as I Had Hoped
I received the lamp and shade in separate boxes on the same day. They were carefully packed and in perfect condition. I spent about five minutes setting the lamp up. It looks exactly like the picture, but close up the craftmanship of the brass and the finishes on the metal can truly be appreciated; there is no detail that is not given attention. The colors were accurately portrayed, the fluid grace of the glass lovely and just what I expected. The pull tabs and finial over the shade are gem cut glass beads that set the whole effect off nicely. The shade itself has an "Eliza Doolittle's hat at the races" kind of fresh feel to it that is delightfully feminine without making my husband gag, (the lamp is in our bedroom). I love the lamp; I just sat and looked at it for a while, turning one then the other side off and on. It has such a nice warm glow. No one could be disappointed with this purchase.
