Susan Kinzig and Caryn Kinzig

''Traditional lighting with a twist-as we design each lamp our goal is to create beautiful and distinctive lighting that will endure the test of time."

After seven years as a graphic designer, Susan Kinzig began a career as a jewelry designer. Fifteen years later, her knowledge of jewelry design and metalworking had grown extensively, and she decided to expand her creative outlook to include lighting design. Caryn Kinzig, Susan's sister-in-law, had spent 20 years in an investment career when she decided to leave the corporate world and follow her creative passion. Susan and Caryn teamed up to form Kinzig Design Home.

Susan and Caryn work together to create each of their lamps. They incorporate proprietary elements with vibrant glass ( blown by two glass studios) and solid brass and copper accents. The lampshades are deeply colored and sewn from embroidered silks and rich fabrics. The lamps are individually finished with patinated metals and surface textures that will not fade or discolor, and are topped with distinctive finials.

Beautiful lamp!
I love Kinzig lamps so much that I have a few of them already. They are beautiful, different, artistic, conversations starters. I got two Margot lamps for the bed tables and they are beautiful when turned off and quite dramatic when turned on. The red is deep, more like crimson that orange-ish. They are fine for reading for me, but if you have trouble with your eyes, maybe they are better for accent lamps.

Perfect
I have wanted this lamp for a long time as the colors are just want I wanted. It is a beautiful, stunning, gorgeous lamp. I bought another lamp from these artists, and I said in another review that my only wish was that it was a little taller - say 2 to 4 inches. But this lamp is BEAUTIFUL.

Stunningly Beautiful
I love the glass and metal combinations and the little details such as the pull chords, finials and designs in the metal pieces. The shades themselves are a work of art!

Gorgeous lamp!
We just love this eye-catching and beautiful lamp. It's like nothing we've ever seen before. Love everything about it ... the only small thing is that it came with 2 40-watt bulbs -- I wonder if it could handle just a little more wattage? Would like to have a total of 100 watts. (The product description above says it "uses one 60-watt maximum bulb" -- in fact there is space for TWO bulbs, and we have the 2 40-watt bulbs sent with the lamp in it right now!)
