Claire Evans is a realist painter of the landscapes that surround her, but her paintings express the spiritual aspects of nature that can be found in landscapes everywhere.

Evans paints mostly in oils. Her rich, layered surfaces reflect training in the techniques of the old masters as well as the new luminist school of oil painting.
