Susan Chin's inspirations derive from her experiences in her ordinary day--in the kitchen preparing food, at the workbench, walking in the woods. The sculptural forms and textures of the natural world all beckon for closer examination, and Chin is inspired by clever seedpods, a slug, or even the structure of a hair follicle. With 24 years of experience at the bench, Susan Chin fabricates pieces that are an expression of the world as she sees it.
