The inner hoop of these incredibly light-weight earrings are forged from sterling silver wire then fabricated using stainless steel for the outer hoop which has a dual purpose of the post.

"I love to create bold and powerful jewelry to give the wearer a sense of empowerment and beauty."

Monique Rancourt creates jewelry intended to empower and give confidence to the wearer.

Inspired by historical references and the body adornments of the Pacific Islands and Africa, Rancourt explores form and pattern, incorporating alternative materials such as rubber and paint pigments as well as using traditional metals and smithing techniques. From lost wax casting to reticulation to hammer forged silver and etched copper, Rancourt combines technique, tradition, and innovation to create pieces uniquely her own.

Rancourt received her BFA From The Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2008, and was awarded Honors from the Metalsmithing and Jewelry Department.

Fabulous Earrings! Truly One-of-a-Kind!!
I love these earrings!!! They are so light and hang beautifully! The only (minor) recommendation I would make to the artist is to have a better backing. The butterfly backing has too large of an opening, so it slides down the earring. Perhaps the rubber backing stoppers would work better? I still plan to purchase another pair in the second size :0)

Uniquely Perfect Hoops
I purchased these earrings for a friend as a going away gift, knowing that she has taste similar to my own. When I gave them to her, she loved them and was thrilled. I liked them so much, that I may buy them for myself as well (and my daughter will likely pilfer them from me)! Great design [...]. I will be sure to purchase from Artful Home again in the future. Thanks!

Funky, Fabulous Earrings!!
Love the earrings!! Lightweight and they look soooo funky!!I do find rubber stoppers work better than the butterfly stoppers these earrings come with.
