For Steven White, the fascination of his work is the dual disciplines of design and construction, coupled with a lifelong affinity for wood. His designs are contemporary and have evolved into a style that uses the interplay of gentle curves to form unique and elegant compositions.

White's pieces are built with solid wood and traditional joinery, with the intention that they will increase in value over generations.

Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, White has for decades drifted art-ward, finding that although math and structural considerations have great uses in furniture design, his numerous art and design classes have given him a great appreciation for aesthetics.
