"Taking my inspiration from traditional Native American cultures, I see my raven-crows as messengers who are able to travel and communicate freely between the physical and spritual realms."

Mark Orr is a lifelong artist and wood carver as well as a collector of vintage artifacts. Drawing inspiration from cultural history, Orr carves raven-crows to represent their historic role as messengers between realities and the couriers of change. Combining his carved raven-crows and the symbolic objects that humans seem compelled to collect, Mark Orr unites the message and the messenger.

Great!
Mark Orr's work is wonderful. I have a small collection of Raven's - three. I gave "Raven On Boat" to my artist brother in celebration of his new CD - "Voyage." He reallly liked it.

Even Better than I'd Imagined!
I have always had an affinity for ravens and have collected original art work depicting this bird for many years. Mark Orr's depiction will be a treasured addition! Raven on Boat will reside on the bookcase surrounding the fireplace near an original Audubon Raven print.
