In this sculptural glass series, Elodie Holmes explores one of the most beautiful and elemental forms in nature-- the egg. Using size, color, texture and the fragile quality of glass itself, Holmes plays with the symbolism and emotional content of the egg form, hoping to evoke something primal in all of us. Each sculpture is handblown and sandblasted, and many use glass colors created by the artist.
