"Verbal language is used to communicate idea and concept from one person to another. Visual language embodies the experience of who we are and what we believe and is a signifier of our social fabric."
Furniture maker Glenn Ward strives to make pieces that are both functional and artistically pleasing. While enhancing the surrounding environment, he also wants the pieces to serve as expressions of the personalities of their users.
Ward’s tables are designed to be conversation pieces. Simple in their elegance yet complex in form, his signature pieces are made of laminated ash with dyed pear veneer detailing and glass. He bends the ash into sensuous shapes creating compound curves that give them further dimension and greater visual symmetry.
