Megan Clark Jewelry Inc.
Architecture and natural forms play a significant role in the shape and design of Megan Clark's work. Growing up as a child of world travelers, she has been influenced by many cultures of Southeast Asia and Europe. Her natural attention to detail led her to discover the fantastic potential of metal as a medium.
Using traditional fabrication techniques, Clark cuts and forms her work from sterling silver and 18k gold sheet and wire. She gives her work an oxidized finish to contrast the beauty of the polished 18k gold accents with the delicate forms in silver. Stingray leather is then incorporated as an organic contrast to the geometric simplicity of the form.
Clark attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001. Upon graduating cum laude with a BFA degree in metals and jewelry, she began her career as a bench jeweler for notable fine craft artists in North Carolina. In 2009, she began her own enterprise and has been invited to prestigious festivals across the country.
