Pascale Judet finds the images that appear in her work by turning inward rather than looking out, even though when she is not painting and drawing, she is constantly taking pictures of her surroundings in the Pacific Northwest and the Hudson River Valley. Seeing an image emerge from a white surface never ceases to give her deep pleasure.
Pascale Judet's clocks and mirrors are hand painted with acrylic on MDF, a very stable surface. The occasional buildings in the images are photographic reproductions The figures are HO scale figures from model railroads. The rocks come from Vashon Island beaches in Puget Sound. Each piece is signed by the artist.
Pascale Judet is a self-taught artist with over 35 years of experience. Her training consists solely of the thousands of hours spent in her studio for almost every day of her adult life. She is still learning. She has been a professional artist making a living at her art for 30 years.
