Paul Nicolas

Paul Nicolas Collection

"The beauty is in the simplicity. My guiding quote in all my projects is 'Less is More,' by Mies van der Rohe."

The Paul Nicolas Collection humbles by its linearity, sharpness, and shape. Using straight lines, a unique style, and premium crafstmanship, Nicolas's designs are powerful to the eye and to the space that each piece occupies. The artist's designs are born out of his search for originality, finding this quality lacking in the commercial market.

In his small studio, Nicolas creates his pieces using simple tools. Materials include any kind of wood, with sterling silver or stainless steel accents. All of his projects are throughly "handmade."

Nicolas's training started in 1979 in Poland, while working for small company producing custom wood furniture for private customers. Upon his arrival to the U.S., he continued his craft, making furniture at first for his own home, then for his friends, and finally by orders from other customers. His training includes mostly hands-on experience.
