Cassandra Tondro Art

"It is my pleasure and joy to create art that supports your physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being."

After decades of studying healing and creating art, Cassandra Tondro realized that the two were connected, and she merged them together to intentionally create healing art. Evidence-based research shows that art can contribute to positive outcomes for our health, including reduced stress and anxiety and lowered blood pressure. Many healthcare facilities make use of art for these purposes, and these healing effects extend to our homes and workspaces, where art has been shown to increase feelings of well-being.

Part of Tondro's own healing has been to follow a dream of being an artist. As a child, she was discouraged from pursuing art because it wasn't considered a viable career. After years working as a computer programmer, she took a leap of faith and left the corporate world to rekindle her artistic aspirations. The culmination of Tondro's work is being able to help others on their healing journeys.

In her search for more eco-friendly materials, Tondro found an innovative use for leftover house paint—she repurposes it for her colorful abstract paintings. She goes to recycling centers and rescues paint that would otherwise go to waste.

Cassandra Tondro is a second-generation artist. Her mother is a painter and a sculptor, and she grew up in a creative home. Her formal studies in art include programs at Otis College of Art and Design; California State University, Northridge; and University of California, Los Angeles.
