Farm on Holy Hill Road
Created by Jeff Darrow
An oil painting on gallery-wrapped canvas, "Farm on Holy Hill Road" depicts a farm from the point of view of a person behind the wheel of a car going down the highway. The farm is dominated by a barn, a silo and a tree on the left, and, on a sloping green pasture, a corn crib and old corn chopper on the right. The highway is named after Holy Hill, a basilica and national shrine in southeastern Wisconsin. The sunlight is bright and creates strong shadows that angle down from left to right. Sides are painted white, suitable for framing.
