Art Glass Sculpture
It's easy to see how the Spanish came to use their word "sierra"--meaning a saw--to describe any mountain range of sharp peaks, as in Sierra Nevada or Sierra Madre. All of the kiln-fired glass pieces--snowy summits, foothills, trees, moon--of the glasscape Sierra are fully re-arrangeable to create a variety of scenes. The work is illuminated either at day or night by a light, recessed into the rear of the hardwood base, which is reflected off the wall behind. Limited edition of 50. Signed and numbered on the certificate of authenticity. Minor Setup required.
Additional images show some of the possibilities in arranging the individual glass pieces.
