The Great Smoky Mountains
Art Glass Sculpture
Created by Bernie Huebner and Lucie Boucher
Just as one doesn't see paint in a fine painting, it's hard to believe that "The Great Smoky Mountains" is made of glass. Equally stunning is the artists' rendering of successive layers of alternating ridgelines and haze, as well as the dramatic illusion of depth between the closeup trees made of frit and the most distant mountains. The glasscape is illuminated either day or night by a light, recessed into the rear of the hardwood base, which is reflected off the wall behind. Limited edition of 30. Signed and numbered on the certificate of authenticity. Minor setup required.
