Art Glass Sculpture

Created by Karen Wallace
Transparent windows—reminiscent of eyes—composed of glass cylinders cut from hand-pulled glass cane provide a place for light to shine through on this geometric fused glass sculpture.

Creamy vanilla geometrics created from dozens of thin strips of glass set on edge flow through and divide quadrants of blue pastel and feisty coral. The components are fired separately in the kiln, cold-worked to fit together with crisp corners and intersections, then fired again to create a single sheet.

Attractive from both sides, this sculpture can be used as a centerpiece or placed on a console table dividing two areas of an open-plan space. The glass disk can be oriented in any rotation and viewed from either side. Dimensions include powder-coated metal stand.
