Art Glass Vessel
One of a Kind
This blown glass vessel is created using cane and murrini techniques in the Venetian style. The artists first create patterned glass rods, cut them into individual cross-sections and lay out a pattern including both the thin glass rods and cross section squares. The pattern is fused together and blown, then the axis of the piece is reversed so that the pattern comes together in the center of the vessel. It is then blown into its final shape. When finished, certain areas are sandblasted to give depth to the piece.
