Hyacinth Tear Drop
Art Glass Vessel
This piece combines two major venetian glassblowing techniques. First is a blowing technique that Lockwood learned from Lino, yielding a tall and elegant flattened bottle design with a small polished bottom which allows the piece to sit on shelves and mantels very nicely. Second is the time consuming creation of murrini flowers that have been pulled multiple times to achieve the fine detail and soft feel of a flower. Utilizing multiple layers of murrini helps to suggest a field of flowers in full bloom. Each piece is unique, and will vary slightly.
