Art Glass Vessel
Created by Gina Lunn
This blown glass vessel is created using cane and incalmo techniques in the Venetian style. The artists first create patterned glass rods. The thin glass rods are then fused together and blown into one separate section. Two other sections are also made with a solid color. All three sections are joined using the Incalmo Technique. The axis of the piece is then reversed so that the pattern across the glass is changed asymmetrically. The piece is then blown into its final shape.
