Art Glass Wall Sculpture

Created by Nina Cambron
This is one of the artist's newest wall pieces inspired by Barkcloth, a fabric popularized in the 50s. Using the characteristics associated with this iconic midcentury modern style lends itself well to her love of pattern, simplicity of design and unique color combinations.

The glass techniques used in Floating Artifacts include fusing and patterning created from pen and ink renderings using powders and overlapped glass. Perfect as a stand-alone piece, it can also be combined with the other pieces in the Barkcloth series to fill a larger space. Ready to hang, the piece sits off the wall, giving it depth to cast a shadow. The hanging system also allows Floating Artifacts to be rotated and hung in any orientation.
